Daily Itinerary
Day 1 Hotel Howard Johnson Florida Buenos Aires, Argentina
Arrive into the international airport in Buenos Aires, where you will have a transfer to your hotel for the night. You will have the rest of the afternoon free to explore the "Paris of South America", a true walking city.
Day 2 Hotel Cataratas Iguazu, Argentina
After breakfast you will have a transfer to the national airport in Buenos Aires for your flight to Puerto Iguazu (1 hour, 45 minutes approx.). There, you will have a transfer to your hotel for the next two nights.
Day 3 Hotel Cataratas Iguazu, Argentina
Today you will take a full day tour of Iguazu Falls, one of those places you will never forget. There are 275 falls along a 2-mile stretch of the Iguazu River, with two-thirds being inside Argentina. The most famous is the U-shaped “Garganta del Diablo”, or Devil’s Throat. Reportedly, when Eleanor Roosevelt first saw the falls, she simply said, “Poor Niagara”. Let the sights and sounds envelope you.
Day 4 Hotel Howard Johnson Florida Buenos Aires, Argentina
After breakfast in the hotel, you will have a transfer to the airport for your flight to Buenos Aires (2 hours approx.), where you will then be transferred to your hotel. Rest of the day free at leisure.
Day 5 Hotel Howard Johnson Florida Buenos Aires, Argentina
This morning you will have a City Tour of Buenos Aires letting you experience all the key highlights of this wonderful city, including the National Congress, the Metropolitan Cathedral, around the Plaza de Mayo, the neighborhoods of San Telmo, La Boca, Palermo, and upscale Recoleta. At night you will be able to enjoy a Tango Dinner Show at La Esquina de Gardel.
Day 6 Hotel Kosten Aike El Calafate, Argentina
Today you will have a transfer to the airport for your flight down to El Calafate (3 and a half hours, approx.) and then a transfer to your centrally-located hotel for the next 3 nights. You will have the remainder of the day free to stroll through this town full of bookstores and souvenir shops.
Day 7 Hotel Kosten Aike El Calafate, Argentina
After breakfast in the hotel, you will take a full day tour of the Perito Moreno Glacier, one of the most active glaciers on the planet. This is one of the few glaciers which is still growing, with the middle sections of each face growing approximately 2 meters per day. Find a favorite spot to watch and listen.
Day 8 Hotel Kosten Aike El Calafate, Argentina
Today you will have a full day trip to the Upsala and Spegazzini glaciers. You will first go to the pier of Punta Banderas (47 km from El Calafate) where you will embark and sail along the north arm of Argentino Lake. The ship travels among enormous sized icebergs of diverse shapes. Upsala (the largest) and Spegazzini (the tallest), glaciers in Glaciers National Park, can be seen from the craft. Depending on the weather, you can disembark at Onelli Bay, and after an 800 meter walk through the forest, you arrive at Onelli Lake, a small body of water populated by countless icebergs that have broken off the three glaciers that converge there: Onelli, Botado and Agassiz. The excursion will return to the port late in the afternoon & includes your transfer back to hotel in El Calafate.
Day 9 Hotel Indigo Puerto Natales, Chile
Around 8:30 am you will have a transfer from your hotel to the bus station where you will take the bus through the Patagonian Pampa, crossing into Chile and down to Puerto Natales, on the Last Hope Sound. The trip will take around 6 hours. Upon arrival in Puerto Natales, you will have a transfer to your hotel right on the water. Rest of the afternoon free to explore the town or to enjoy the hotel's spa services.
Day 10 Hotel Indigo Puerto Natales, Chile
Today you will have a full day in the monumental Torres del Paine National Park, declared a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve. You will be immersed in a special microclimate filled with unique flora and fauna, witnessing Patagonian foxes, guanacos (American camels) and huge condors, all amid numerous lakes and at the foot of the immense granite “Torres” and “Cuernos”. Late afternoon return to Puerto Natales.
Day 11 Hotel Cumbres Puerto Varas, Chile
This morning you will have a transfer to the airport for your flight up to Puerto Montt (2 hours, 15 minutes approx.), where our representative will be waiting for you to take you to your hotel in nearby Puerto Varas. You will have the remainder of the afternoon free to stroll through the “City of Roses” or walk along the shore of Lake Llanquihue, the second largest in Chile.
Day 12 Hotel Cumbres Puerto Varas, Chile
Today you have several options to choose from, including: (1) Full day trip to the island of Chiloe, where you will experience the unique culture and architecture, including the construction of houses over the water known as “palafitos”, (2) Full day trip through the Perez Rosales National Park, Petrohue Falls and on to Lake Todos Los Santos, where you will take a catamaran across the lake, with unbeatable views of both the Osorno and Puntiagudo Volcanoes, to Peulla, where you can have lunch (price not included) and optional activities before returning to Puerto Varas., (3) Whitewater rafting (level III) on the Petrohue River, (4) Canyoning down some of the many waterfalls in the area, (5) Various full day trekking trips among other activities. Overnight in Puerto Varas.
Day 13 Hotel Cumbres Puerto Varas, Chile
Today is another day to enjoy Puerto Varas and the area with an optional activity. Besides the excursions mentioned above, you can hit the water with some kayaking, either on All Saints' Lake or sea kayaking into the fjords, or enjoy a trip to Senda Nativa, a local conservation project aiming to protect local species, including lunch.
Day 14 Hotel Orly Santiago, Chile
After breakfast, you will have a transfer to the airport for your flight to Santiago (1 hour, 45 minutes approx.), where you will have a transfer to your hotel. At any time you want you can take a “Hop on, Hop off” City Tour of Santiago. Turistik allows you to discover this wonderful destination with added depth and greater flexibility aboard the same double deck buses which you can find in cities such as New York, London, Madrid & Paris. You can hop on and off as many times as you like along the circuit between 9:30 AM & 6:30PM and once you have visited what you are interested in, you can continue the route taking the following buses which pass approximately every 30 minutes. We invite you to really discover Santiago through the 11 stops located in the most important points of the city.
Day 15 Hotel Orly Santiago, Chile
After breakfast in the hotel, you will take a Full Day trip to the coast. Viña del Mar, our "Garden City", will charm you with her special architecture, streets and palaces. You will also have the chance to see a Moai from Easter Island. After visiting the coastal border you will visit the city of Valparaiso, whose origins go back to 1536, which has been declared a Cultural World Heritage site by UNESCO and is the seat of the Legislative Power. It has magic, picturesque elevators, colorful neighborhoods, and unforgettable sceneries. You will also visit La Sebastiana, the House Museum of Pablo Neruda, awarded the Nobel Prize, located on one of the city's 45 hills.
Day 16 Hotel Casa Andina Private Collection Puno, Peru
This morning you will have an early transfer to Santiago’s International Airport for your flight to Lima (3 hours 50 minutes, approx.) and connection to Juliaca (1 hour, 45 minutes approx.). There you will have a transfer by road to your hotel in Puno, on the shores of enormous Lake Titicaca on the border with Bolivia.
Day 17 Hotel Casa Andina Private Collection Puno, Peru
After breakfast at the hotel you will have a morning visit to the Uros Islands. These islands are made of reeds, rising six meters above the lake level. They are anchored by logs and connected to each other by ropes. The main activities of the people who live here are fishing and handcrafting several items that they sell to visitors. Then you will continue to Taquile Island which has two essential characteristics; its geography, offering a spectacular view from its hills, and its standing as a first-rate textile center. Taquilenos live on their textile activities. This can easily be seen in the men walking about in rubber sandals ('ojotas' in quechua), wearing black pants, white flannel shirts and beautiful, finely woven chumpis (belts), covering their heads with finely knitted warm 'chullos' (caps with ear flaps). Box lunch included.
Day 18 Hotel Costa del Sol Picoaga Cusco, Peru
This morning you will have a transfer to Cuzco, a 9 hour tour bus which travels along the Andes range, passing through picturesque villages up to the town of Cusco. Lunch included, then transfer to your hotel. You can leave your luggage at the hotel and just take a small bagpack for the next day, as there is limited luggage room on the train and you are not allowed to bring large suitcases to the ruins. Remember to carry your passport with you all the time.
Day 19 Hotel Hatuchay Tower Machu Picchu, Peru
After breakfast at the hotel, you will have a transfer to the train station. The Vistadome Train passes through the Urubamba Valley, the Sacred Valley of the Incas, to the fabulous mountaintop ruins of Machu Picchu. Once in Machu Picchu you will have a Full day tour of the area, with lunch included.
Day 20 Hotel Costa del Sol Picoaga Cusco, Peru
Breakfast and free morning in Aguas Calientes. If you desire, you can visit the ruins again by taking the bus from the village up to the entrance gate, paying the park entry fee and enjoying this sacred place just for you. Just be sure to be at the train station before 3:00 PM to be transferred back to Cusco. At the station you will have a transfer to your hotel.
Day 21 Hotel Costa del Sol Picoaga Cusco, Peru
Option 1: Morning tour of this magnificent city, a blend of Inca and Spanish Cultures, visiting the Korikancha or Temple of the Sun and the Cathedral, continuing from there to the nearby ruins of Tambomachay (Inca fountains), Puca-Pucara (the Red Fortress), Kenko (sacred site) and finally Sacsahuaman Fortress.
Option 2: In the morning you will visit Pisac, famous for its Mass and market. The Mass is attended by the 'mayors' of the neighboring villages, complete in typical dress and carrying their traditional 'varayoc' or staff of office. You will also enjoy the colorful Indian market. Lunch is included. In the afternoon you will tour the remarkable Inca fortress of Ollantaytambo with its magnificent mountain stairway. Among other things, you will be intrigued by six enormous pink stones, each weighing some 50 tons. These came from the other side of the river, but nobody knows how they were transported, since the Incas did not use the wheel.
Day 22 Hotel Casa Andina Private Collection Lima, Peru
After breakfast, you will have a transfer to the Cusco airport for your flight to Lima (1 hour, 20 minutes approx.). There you will have a transfer to your hotel and then have a City Tour of Lima. You will visit the Plaza Mayor (Main Square), founded in 1535 by Francisco Pizarro, conqueror of Peru, the Govermment Palace, City Hall, the Cathedral and the House of the 'Oidor'. Continuing the tour, you will see other colonial architectural jewels, such as the Torre Tagle Palace, the Osambela House, ending with a visit to Larco Herrera, the Gold Museum.

This morning you will have a transfer to the international airport in Lima for your flight home, or to continue your vacation.
